Cause campout. The tragedy and the happiness.

So Friday was the cause camp out. Also on Friday i had to take Brooke to the doctor for her shots updates. So while the Doctor is giving Brooke her exam she says she is going to do a throat culture because she thinks that she has strep. well i freak because Brooke never said that she felt bad or was hurting or anything. So they do the test and it comes back like super positive, so that means that she is contagious!! And contagious means that she can't be around people. Can't be around people means that she can't go to the cause camp out. Brooke was devastated. She started crying immediately. It was pitiful. She was so broken hearted. I had to come home and call Katie and tell her that she wouldn't be there.:Tragedy


On Saturday Pastor Michael told Jamey that if Brooke wanted to and felt up to it that she could sing. Brooke was so extactic. And to her surprise, they were going to present her with some of the giveaways and a get well card that all the kids and counselor's had signed. It was so awesome.: Happiness!

Soooo.. I cut Brooke's hair!!

Today Brooke tells me that she wants bangs again, and asks me if I will do it. So I agreed, I was very nervous though, I have never cut anybodies hair but my own. I decided to get over it and do it anyway. It turned out great and she absolutely loved it. After cutting her hair I flat ironed it and she went nuts over her hair. Here are some pics..

Another First!

Well, I must be on a "parenting" roll this week. A little backstory though to start us off.... So yesterday I had to go to the doctor, I have bronchitis and sinusitis. So I feel like absolute crap, and thinking, yeah right, not happening. So I stayed home today to recoop as much as I could in one day. Well around 4 I had to go get the kids from school. Well by the time I reached them I was spent. So I'm not sure if it's the incredible wall of mucous that has taken up residency in my brain or the fact that I guess that I just plain trust him, I pulled over the car and told J.T that I thought that something was wrong with the seat and asked him to look at it for me. As he got in the car to "check", I asked him if he had his wallet and after the shocked answer "Uh, yeah" got in the passenger side of the car and said " alright, lets go." J.T was so excitied and let me tell you he was very professional the whole ride home.

It's the little things...

Well, today for the first time Brooke mentioned being embarrassed about her hair on her legs, and I had decided that whenever she brought this about, that would be the day. The day when she first "shaved"!! So instead I bought Nair (which smells alot better now than it used to). I figured she could start off easy. Well, she did it, and she is extremely impressed with her legs. They are so smooth. I just thought that this was worth documenting.
